     Mud Reservoir is a great site to visit for more than one day, Pine Tree Campground is a great site to camp nearby, and a tour to Hat Spring will fill your spirit with delightful feelings. All our national parks are good locations to have a look at, and John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is no exception. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mud Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Fish House Inn. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors  
   just come on up to the Blue Mountains. Beaverdam Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and you can go for a hike on the Coffeepot Trail.
At Mud Reservoir through the days of summer highs are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Mud Reservoir temperatures fall to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. While
 
               you're here at Mud Reservoir, you could also visit pretty South Prong Reservoir; there is a good hiking trail nearby called the South Prong Trail. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. Going for a hike on the Black Canyon Trail is always a tremendous adventure.
Mud Reservoir is generally a quite dehydrated place; most of the rain falls throughout November while September is mostly the driest month. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Mountains.
