    Mud Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Blue Mountains. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mud Lake has to offer, you can camp at Ray Cole Campground, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Fawn Spring Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Berry Creek flows through this neighborhood; the Berry Creek Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by. Mud  
   Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Mountains.
At Mud Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most, and July on the other hand is the driest. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff truly is bountiful here in the Blue Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western John Day Inn, and if you need a spot to stay Burns - Days Inn Ponderosa is a perfect choice. Through the warmest time
 
               of the year, highs typically are in the 80's at Mud Lake with night lows in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Mud Lake temperatures descend to the 20's.
Mud Lake is not the only place close by, Guernsey Pond is a close by lake, and Bear Gulch is beyond doubt a delightful spot to go to. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Clyde Holliday is a glorious location for that; there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Joaquin Miller Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do right next door to Mud Lake. You could also explore Canyon City Reservoir if you're here at Mud Lake; it's nearby; a trip to Hot Springs will fill your soul with great feelings.
