A visit to Mud Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. Coquille River - South Fork has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Iron Mountain is uncomplicated to spot from Mud Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you came to camp McCurdy Campground is a perfect site to do that; you'll discover a picturesque lake called Southard Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Coast Ranges. Be careful coming to the Coast Ranges,

Mud Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Barklow Mountain Campground is a pleasant local campground, and while you're here, you could stop by North Fork Rock Creek. Summertime highs at Mud Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are ordinarily in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Mud Lake are in the 30's. A lovely lake like | |

Dry Lake close to Mud Lake is a good spot to visit; don't leave Mud Lake without first going for a hike along the Lower River Trail. That right there is a load of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Coast Ranges has it
all. Good hiking is available along the Bear Camp Trail, and if you're going to from Brookings, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Pacific Reef Resort is a splendid choice. Go for a hike
on the Mountain Wells Trail, and paddling on Coquille River - South Fork is so much fun. Mud Lake is a rather wet place commonly with much precipitation; throughout December this area sees the most rain while July is generally the driest month.
