Mud Lake is one of the lakes here in the Wallowa Mountains. Around Mud Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; December is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest of the months is July. A delightful place to camp here at Mud Lake is Scenic Meadows RV Park, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Martin Bridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Halfway Rv Park; Sugarloaf Dam is       a spot that is near Mud Lake. Summertime highs at Mud Lake generally tend to be in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Mud Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. This place, Mud Lake, it completely has so much outdoors amusing stuff. After a long day outdoors Hells Canyon Rv Park & Cabins is a delightful place to                  spend a night or two; you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Kettle Creek Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Wallowa Mountains. On a great day at Mud Lake you can take a hike along the Main Creek Trail. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Wallowa Mountains. Don't leave Mud Lake without first checking out Deadman Point, and you acquire a perfect panorama of Russel Mountain from here.
