Yep, outdoors enjoyable things truly is bountiful here in the Southern Cascade Range. Lakes? Sure, Smokey Lake is nearby; the summit of Council Butte can be seen from Muckney Lake. Kodiak Pond is a brilliant lake near Muckney Lake, and some of the water nearby flows, like Rock Creek. This lake is one of the great places here in the       Southern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp S'Ocholis Campground is a good site to do that, and if you have time, Lava Beds National Monument is a national park worth taking a look at. High temperatures at Muckney Lake during the summer are in the 80's with night lows in the 40's.
