There are some delightful whitewater spots on Siuslaw River; Lake's Edge RV Park is a nice local campground. Summertime at Mount Canary Company Log Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter the highs are generally in the 50's; night lows at Mount Canary Company                  Log Pond during the winter regularly drop into the 30's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Coast Ranges. Carle Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at, and if you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Ocean Dunes Golf Links.
