Whitewater paddling is good on Salt Creek. A good deal of rainfall falls at Moon Lake; most of the rain falls during November, and the driest of the months is July. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hills Creek; there are good spots       to look at along the Staley Ridge Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Moon Lake, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
