Moon Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is good on Salt Creek. A good deal of rainfall falls at Moon Lake; most of the rain falls during November, and the driest of the months is July. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hills Creek; there are good spots

| | to look at along the Staley Ridge Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Moon Lake, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's; night lows throughout the wintertime for Moon Lake tend to be in the 30's. Range is uncomplicated. Near Moon Lake you find the Moon Lake Trail which is a good hiking trail, and Hills Creek Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. Oakridge Mobile Home Park is a pleasant campground nearby, and
there's some flowing water nearby, North Fork Buck Creek is a stream you can take a look at while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Johnson Meadows Trail is always a great adventure, and Willamette Pass is a perfect local ski area.
