Sure, Haskell Reservoir is in the neighborhood. A great nearby hotel is Best Western Sunridge Inn, and not far from Miles Pond you'll locate Vogel Reservoir which is a wonderful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Anthony Lakes has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff, and while you're here you can take  
   a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Baker City Motel & Recreational Vehicle Park is a tremendous place to camp; a magnificent place to explore close by is Buffalo Gulch. If you need a location to stay Rodeway Inn Baker City is a glorious choice, and Baker RV Park is a great local campground.

Miles Pond is a location that is relatively arid frequently; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. Throughout the days of summer highs here at Miles Pond reach the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are mostly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Miles Pond.
