You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining things the Blue Mountains has to offer. Near Midway Pond you stumble on the Elkhorn Crest Trail which is a great hiking trail. A visit to Alder Spring will fill your spirit with pleasant feelings, and if you need a place to stay Depot Inn is a delightful choice. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Blue Mountains rocks! Take a side spree to Alder Creek, naturally       you could also take a look at Swale Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. At Midway Pond you don’t see much rain; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Sumpter Pines is a delightful campground here, and Alder Creek Meadow is a good spot. The Blue Mountains scenery is always beautiful. The Twin Lakes Trail is a nice hiking trail                  near Midway Pond, and Midway Pond is a wonderful spot to camp, Unity Lake is a wonderful spot. The warmest time of the year at Midway Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 30's. Throughout the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Midway Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
