All the outdoors fun stuff close to Middle Lake will keep you coming back again and again. Comfort Suites Columbia River is a good site to get some rest, and there are some great whitewater spots on Nehalem River. Middle Lake regularly gets a large amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is commonly December, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is July. So many entertaining things       to do in the Coast Ranges, not enough time. Middle Lake is a location with many visitors from Astoria, and Middle Lake Dam is not far at all from Middle Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Middle Lake has to offer, you can camp at Trucke's Necanicum River RV Park; get yourself into a kayak and hit Grays River. This lake is so wonderful. Fort Clatsop National Memorial is a tremendous local destination here at Middle Lake; let's not                  forget John Day Creek which is a stream that you may bump into while you're here. Middle Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. This is a brilliant region for folks who like lakes. Wickiup Lake is a lake close at hand, and if you need a site to stay Crest Motel is a wonderful choice. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Coast Ranges. High temperatures at Middle Lake during the summertime months are in the 60's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's.
