A visit to Merrell Reservoir is always a good idea. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Merrell Reservoir. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn The Dalles; a nice spot for whitewater paddling is White River. Tygh Creek is a stream that you may encounter while here, and Merrell Reservoir is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Wasco County Fairgrounds is a tremendous local campground.

| | Creek Trail is always a good adventure, and camping at Dufur RV Park is always a pleasant experience. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular site for people from City of The Dalles, and the Pen Way Trail is a perfect hiking trail close by. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Merrell Reservoir. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime | |

If you need a site to stay The Dalles Inn is a tremendous choice, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Ball Point Trail. Merrell Reservoir gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls through December; the driest of the months is July.
