For the period of the summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Merrell Reservoir, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Merrell Reservoir. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not go to Gray Reservoir right next door to Merrell Reservoir; you can go for a hike on the Little Badger Creek Trail. Merrell Reservoir is pretty waterless typically; December is when you get the most rain here while July is typically the driest month. from City of The Dalles. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay The Dalles Inn is a delightful choice. There's so much to do here at Merrell Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Wasco County Fairgrounds
is a fine site for that. This lake is so wonderful. And that's not all you can do here at Merrell Reservoir. Get yourself into a kayak and hit White River, and going for a hike on the Ball Point Trail is always a good adventure.
There is a pleasant hiking trail in the neighborhood of Merrell Reservoir called the Pen Way Trail, and if you came to camp Dufur RV Park is a perfect place to do that.
