McKee Lake gets a typical amount of rain; November is when you get the most rain here, and July is when it's the driest. And that's not all there is to do here in the Southern Cascade Range. McKee Lake is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Upper       South Fork Campground is a wonderful place to camp nearby, and splendid hiking is available along the Cat Hill Way. During the summer, highs usually are in the 80's at McKee Lake. Summer night lows sink down to the 40's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 40's; night lows in the 20's for McKee Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Saddle Campground is a magnificent campground nearby, and Cat Hill is trouble-free to spot from McKee Lake. Don't leave                  McKee Lake without first going for a hike along the South Fork Trail, and do go to Grassy Pond, it's a beautiful lake. Just can't get enough of the Southern Cascade Range. Gypsy Spring is an inspiring place to stop at while you're here, and there are some good whitewater spots on Rogue River - North Fork. A beautiful lake like Lily Pond close to McKee Lake is a wonderful location to explore, and there's great hiking along the Blue Canyon Trail. McKee Lake is one of the lakes here in the Southern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful.
