You definitely must fancy the Central Cascade Range. Gresham Area Hotels is a great place to get some rest, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Washougal River. Visit Arata Creek while you're here at McGill Reservoir; why not camp at Portland-fairview RV Park if you're here at McGill Reservoir. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. All the water falling down from the sky makes McGill Reservoir a wet place; through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful.
