Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Silver Creek, and you'll most likely meet some people from Salem here. If you adore the outdoors, you'll adore McDonald Pond. Crabtree Creek has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Mill Creek Inn. This lake is so wonderful. A golf course in the vicinity of McDonald Pond is Battle Creek Golf Course; why not camp at       Salem Campgrounds and RV's Holiday Trav-L-Park since you're here at McDonald Pond. Battle Creek is a great local stream, and at Franzen Dam close to McDonald Pond there are some exciting things to see.
