    In Oregon there are many beautiful lakes, McCormick Reservoir is one of them. From a rain point of view McCormick Reservoir is a quite common site; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is nice here at McCormick Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Red Mountain Trail, and Bear Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking  
   out. Having a splendid time at McCormick Reservoir is painless.
That right there is loads of cool things already but it goes on, the Siskiyou Mountains has it all. Millpond Campground is a great local campground; if you would like a little side journey, try Gold Gulch. Summertime highs at McCormick Reservoir frequently tend to be in the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's, and overnight lows
 
               in the 20's for McCormick Reservoir. All the outdoors fun stuff close to McCormick Reservoir will keep you coming back many times. McCormick Reservoir is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Central Point Koa Kampground is a delightful place to camp nearby; Bommers Flat is a pretty location any time of year.
Playing golf is lots of fun at Laurel Hill Golf Course; a splendid location for whitewater paddling is Rogue River. This lake is so wonderful. Fairfield Inn And Suites By Marriott Medford is a great location to get some rest; going for a hike along the Chicago Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Be careful coming to the Siskiyou Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. A scenic lake like Morris Reservoir next to McCormick Reservoir is a delightful spot to take a look at, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites MEDFORD-CENTRAL POINT.
You can take a little trip to Gold Ray Dam since you're here at McCormick Reservoir, and Dean Reservoir is a perfect lake nearby. The Siskiyou Mountains scenery is always beautiful. On a nice day you can stop at Kelly Slough, a swamp in close proximity to McCormick Reservoir; you'll meet a lot of people from Medford here.

If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
