McClure Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to McClure Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at McClure Lake descend into the 20's. A short visit to Middleswart Spring is always worthwhile, and after a long day outdoors Cousins Country Inn is a delightful

| | spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. What would a place like McClure Lake be without interesting close by marks like Rowena Crest, and going for a hike on the Cedar Creek Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is so wonderful. McClure Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Memaloose State Park is a magnificent local campground, and nearby you find the Bottle Prairie Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. get enough of McClure Lake. If you're popping by McClure Lake from Hood River, you won't be the only one. All the outdoors fun things in the Northern Cascade Range will keep you coming back over and over. A fine place to camp here
at McClure Lake is Columbia River Gorge Camping, and Rattlesnake Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. McClure Lake is a good location of typical rainfall; during the month of December you get the most rain around
here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Klickitat River; the Fifteenmile Creek Trail is a
great hiking trail nearby. A great location like Rocky Flat here at McClure Lake is too great to miss; on a beautiful day you get a good sight of Chatfield Hill from McClure Lake. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity
to McClure Lake. Lakes are such calm locations, why not go to Balch Lake in close proximity to McClure Lake; a great location nearby is Rowena Dell. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Cascade Range. Yeah, come up here
to the Northern Cascade Range for a great time. Rowena Creek flows through this vicinity, and if you need a site to stay The Dalles Super 8 Motel is a magnificent choice.
