Be careful coming to Maidu Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. Miller Mountain is clearly visible from Maidu Lake, and there's glorious hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 20. Lake Lucile Campground is a good campground nearby, and hey, Gotta ski right? Willamette Pass is a magnificent place to do that. Lakes are great; Lake Lucile is a lake that's in close proximity       to Maidu Lake, and wonderful hiking is available along the Maidu Lake Way. Maidu Lake commonly gets a lot of rain; November is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Miller Lake, and Maidu Lake is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Diamond Lake RV Park is a tremendous place to camp nearby. Be careful coming                  to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go home again. Do pay a visit to Crater Lake National Park while you're here at Maidu Lake; the Calamut Way offers hiking at its best. That right there is lots of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Central Cascade Range has it all. All through the summer here at Maidu Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Maidu Lake temperatures descend to the 20's.
