Ray Cole Campground is a great local campground, and there are other locations here than Magone Lake, for example Patterson Pond. So much cool stuff to do in the Blue Mountains, not enough time. You can catch a glimpse of Lake Butte from Magone Lake, and you must undeniably dedicate some time to Morrow Meadow if you're here at Magone Lake. For the period of the days of summer,       highs regularly are in the 80's at Magone Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and night lows during the wintertime for Magone Lake tend to be in the 20's. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Blue Mountains. If you need a spot to stay Best Western John Day Inn is a splendid choice, and don't leave Magone Lake without first going for a hike along the Davis Trail. If you                  came for an overnight stay Clyde Holliday is a tremendous location to camp, and do explore Lake Creek while you're here at Magone Lake. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Magone Lake. There's perfect hiking along the Sulphur Creek Trail, and Porcupine Spring is a delightful local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Magone Lake; Canyon Mountain Trail is a good local trail, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Americas Best Value Inn. Not far from Magone Lake, you'll hit upon San Juan Log Ponds which is a pretty lake, and going to John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.
