Firs Mobile Home and RV Park is a tremendous campground nearby, and some close by water includes Charlotte Creek. High temperatures at Lyons Reservoir through the warm days of summer are in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 50's, and night lows during the winter for Lyons Reservoir tend to be in the 30's.       Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges. Playing golf is lots of fun at Kentuck Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Millicoma River - West Fork, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn at Coos Bay. The high level of rainfall makes Lyons Reservoir a quite wet location; the month with most of the rain is December while July is the month with the least amount of                  precipitation. If you need a site to stay Red Lion Hotel Coos Bay is a fine choice, and a lake nearby is Sandpoint Lake. And if that's not sufficient there's loads more cool stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Threemile Lake Trail, and Lyons Reservoir is a site with many visitors from Coos Bay. Lyons Reservoir is located in the Coast Ranges.
