Go to Lower Rock Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Whitewater paddling is great on Clackamas River; almost certainly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Hideaway Lake is just a very short distance away. So many amusing things in the Central Cascade Range, just remarkable. Cache Meadow is a magnificent place, and skiing at Timberline Lodge is one of those things you just must do. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Central

| | Cascade Range. On a great day at Lower Rock Lake you can take a hike along the Roaring River Trail. There's so much to do here at Lower Rock Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Frazier Fork Campground is a fine place for that.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at The Resort At The Mountain, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mt. Hood Ski Bowl while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. The Old Baldy | |

Trail is a delightful hiking trail close to Lower Rock Lake; the top of Frazier Mountain is easily observed from Lower Rock Lake.
This lake is located in the wonderful Central Cascade Range. While you're here at Lower Rock Lake
you can take a hike along the Cottonwood Meadows Trail; if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clackamas River - Oak Grove Fork. Summertime highs at Lower Rock Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's,
and the overnight is a bit colder of course, mostly in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's while Lower Rock Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's.
This is no location for people
who don’t like to have a good time. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lower Rock Lake has to offer, you can camp at Frazier Turnaround Campground, and if you need a place to stay Old Welches Inn is a tremendous choice.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Lower Rock Lake a wet site; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is July.
