If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lower Reservoir. Lower Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Siskiyou Mountains. During the summertime here at Lower Reservoir, high temperatures commonly reach the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. This lake is so wonderful. Danns Spring is always fun to check out, and don't leave Lower Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Bear Creek Trail. If you get bored of Lower Reservoir, you could also pop by close by Billings Reservoir; the peak of Ropers Bunion can be observed from Lower Reservoir. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Hotel is a great choice, and there are good sites to discover along the Copper Trail.
Man, is there a lot of exciting things to do in the Siskiyou Mountains. Near Lower Reservoir you come across a golf course called Oak Knoll
Golf Club, and there are plenty of folks from Medford here. Lower Reservoir in fact is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Klamath River. Ashland Creek is a glorious place
to go to; camping at Jackson wellsprings is always a nice experience.
This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Mt. Ashland is a delightful place to do that, and going for a hike on the Mount Ashland Trail is always a tremendous adventure.
You truly have to love the Siskiyou Mountains. A magnificent place to go to right next door to Lower Reservoir is Jemmison Gulch, and Lower Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Regency Inn and RV is a great local
campground. Not much rain falls here at Lower Reservoir; December is the month that gets the most rain while July is ordinarily the driest month.
