Go to Lotus Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Lotus Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Alsea Bay Trailer Park, and after a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Inn Waldport is a splendid site to spend a night or two. Lotus Lake gets a great deal of water; the wettest month of the year is mostly December, that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.

| | Visit Alsea River if you're here at Lotus Lake, and not far from Lotus Lake you get some tremendous water scenery at Lint Slough Dam. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Coast Ranges has to offer. Have a great hiking adventure along the Horse Creek Trail, and you can run the rapids of Drift Creek. A day at pretty Ona Beach near Lotus Lake is a pleasant thing to do, and why not have a look at a swamp like Lint Slough if you're here at Lotus | |

Lake. Having a nice time in the Coast Ranges is simple. If you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Crestview Hills Golf Course, and you can spend the day on the beach at Holly Beach. Devils Bend is a splendid spot to explore
while in the region; Alsea Bay is relatively close. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lotus Lake has to offer, you can camp at Beachside State Park. Lakes? Sure, Lint Slough Reservoir is nearby. For the period
of the summertime months here at Lotus Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 60's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. Throughout the wintertime highs are commonly in the 50's with temperatures
at Lotus Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. Be careful coming to Lotus Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Hidden
Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Shamrock Lodgettes. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lotus Lake.

Beverly Beach State Park
 | 13 miles away 1 PHOTO ...hen we found the light and put it to where the noise was coming from, we saw a huge beaver carrying a tree limb off into the forrest. We were so shocked at how huge he was! He was the size of a small bear. At first I thought it WAS a bear but my husband said ''no, Baby, don't be scared... It's just a beaver and he wont hurt you. ''
The next morning we were making coffee and waiting for it to perk (a very slow way to make coffee) and the chipmunks were throwing pine cones at us from the tree tops and they actually hit me with one. Then they come down from the trees while we were drinking our coffee and gather up all their pine cones and cart them off. They were just the cutest little things.
That night we set up our four tiki lanterns and sit around the fire pit having some wine coolers and just enjoying each other like we love to do :) kissing and such... And all of a sudden there was some noises in the trees behind our tent.... Again I was scared that it would be a bear (the reason I am scared of bears is that when I was a kid, I saw one chase my daddy out of his showe... |
