     Why not have a look at Lost Creek Dam since you're here, and Shady Trails RV Park and Campground is a great local campground. Summer at Lost Creek Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lost Creek Lake temperatures dip to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Lost Creek Lake is a site with many visitors from  
   Medford; there is a glorious hiking trail nearby called the Rogue-Umpqua Divide Trail.
Around Lost Creek Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; December is the month that gets the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Lakes are fine; Elk Creek Reservoir is a lake that's in close proximity to Lost Creek Lake; if you need a place to stay La Quinta Inn and Suites White City is a magnificent choice.
Now, you may assume
 
               that's a lot but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Southern Cascade Range. Get your pulse rate up on the nice whitewater of Big Butte Creek, and Big Butte Creek is near Lost Creek Lake and is always a joy to go to. You completely must adore Lost Creek Lake. Going for a hike on the Rattlesnake Trail is always a fine adventure, and not far from Lost Creek Lake you'll discover Elk Creek Lake which is a stunning lake. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Bear Mountain RV Park while you're here at Lost Creek Lake; a brilliant nearby hotel is Courtyard Medford Airport.
The Southern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Southern Cascade Range is peerless! A tremendous place for whitewater paddling next to Lost Creek Lake is Rogue River - North Fork, and the Alco Trail is a fine hiking trail nearby.

If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
