    A visit to Lost Creek Lake is always a good idea. This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Elk Creek Reservoir, and dry warm beds await you at Courtyard by Marriott Medford Airport. These mountains rock, just check out all the entertaining things to do in the Southern Cascade Range. Camping at Bear Mountain RV Park is always a good experience, and Lost Creek Lake is not far at all  
   from Medford.
If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Southern Cascade Range. You could also check out Elk Creek Lake if you're here at Lost Creek Lake; it's nearby, and hiking along the Rogue-Umpqua Divide Trail is perfect fun. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Lost Creek Lake, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, usually in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime
 
               temperatures at Lost Creek Lake dip into the 30's. At Lost Creek Lake you don’t see much precipitation; most of the rain falls all through December, and July is when it's the driest.
All the outdoors enjoyable things in the vicinity of Lost Creek Lake will keep you coming back many times. Get wet paddling on Big Butte Creek, and going for a hike along the Rattlesnake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Camping is available at Shady Trails RV Park and Campground, and Lost Creek Dam is a stunning site, beyond doubt worth visiting.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rogue River - North Fork, and Big Butte Creek is close to Lost Creek Lake and is always a diversion to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn Suites White City is a splendid site to spend a night or two, and do take a hike on the Alco Trail.

If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
