For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 50's while Loon Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 30's. Be careful coming to the Coast Ranges, you might not ever wanna go back home again. There's so much to do here at Loon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Angler's Park is a wonderful                  place for that. Looking for something close to Loon Lake? Burchard Lake is in close proximity; a quick visit to Baker Creek is definitely a good idea. This lake is located in the wonderful Coast Ranges. Yeah, come up here to the Coast Ranges for a splendid time. If you come at the right time of year, Umpqua River offers some tremendous whitewater, and dry warm beds await you at Economy Inn Reedsport. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Coos River - South Fork, and if you crave a little side spree, try Ash Valley.
