     These mountains rock, just explore all the entertaining things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Don't leave Lookout Point Lake without first checking out Eagle Rock, and Butte Disappointment can be made out from Lookout Point Lake. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Lookout Point Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows  
   through the wintertime for Lookout Point Lake tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Lookout Point Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Upper End Campground is a magnificent place for that, and a fine nearby hotel is Super 8 Creswell/South Eugene.
The high level of precipitation makes Lookout Point Lake a rather wet spot; most of the rain falls throughout December, and July on the other hand is the driest.
 
               Going for a hike on the Eagles Rest Trail is always a good adventure, and not far from Lookout Point Lake you'll find Dexter Reservoir which is a scenic lake. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Hardesty Trail, and Winberry Creek is a nice whitewater spot close by.
And if that's not sufficient, there's lots more to do next to Lookout Point Lake. You can run the rapids of Fall Creek next to Lookout Point Lake. Lakes are great; Fall Creek Lake is a lake that's near Lookout Point Lake. The scenery at Lookout Point Dam near Lookout Point Lake is picturesque. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lookout Point Lake has to offer, you can camp at Dexter Shores Mobile Home and RV Park. Go for a hike on the Teeter Creek Loop.
If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Central Cascade Range. Don't forget to take a glorious little trip to East Fork Minnow Creek; if you need a location to stay Comfort Inn & Suites Creswell is a fine choice. Lookout Point Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Cascade Range.

...ing in the bushes or flying by. A birding trail is located in nearby Oakridge which is 22 miles from Dexter Shores.

During the summer months, there are a variety of activities as depicted on the handout. All are fun, especially the Blackberry Jam with the many events going on in Lowell which is only 2 miles from our Park.

As July turns to August, the blackberries begin to ripen and are ready to pick off the bushes in our Park and in the nearby areas. It's fun to just pick and eat some as you go!

In the fall you'll see an array of colors in the various deciduous trees and shrubs along with the stately evergreen trees staying their wonderful lush green color.

We are about an hours drive to snowmobiling and cross-country skiing at Crescent Lake Resort, which is a part of the Hoodoo Family. Before reaching Crescent Lake Resort, you'll arrive at the top of Willamette Pass where you can find downhill skiing.
