It's always fun to stop by Long Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Greenwell Motel is a nice choice, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Summit Mount Emily Trail. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Blue Mountains. Lakes are fine; Nunamaker Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Long Pond; drift down the rapids of Grande Ronde River in a kayak. That right there is

| | heaps of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Blue Mountains has it all. Here at Long Pond you'll probably meet some folks from La Grande, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Five Points Trail.
Long Pond is one of the lakes here in the Blue Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Royal Motor Inn, and going for a hike along the Evans Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.

at Grandview Campground; a short tour to Butcher Knife Spring is always worthwhile. This place is unbeatable, just look at all the amusing stuff to do next to Long Pond. There's so much to do here at Long Pond that you need to camp
here for a while, Broken Arrow Lodge is a brilliant location for that, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Grande Ronde River. Long Pond is a location that is reasonably dried out regularly; through November this area sees the most
rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
High temperatures at Long Pond through the summer months are in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Long Pond dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights.
