Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Long Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Long Lake dip into the 20's. Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is abundant here in the Southern Cascade Range. There's no way someone can get bored       here in the Southern Cascade Range. Near Long Lake you locate the Lost Peak Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and hey, Long Creek is a good local stream. The Southern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. Go for a hike on the Blue Canyon Trail, of course you could also visit Center Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Don't miss out on a journey to Crater Lake National Park if you're here at Long Lake, and one of the overriding highlights of the surroundings of Long Lake is Lost Peak. Yeah, come here to Long Lake for a glorious time. Camping is available at White Pine Campground; going for a hike on the Four Mile Lake Trail is always a fine adventure.
