Packsaddle Mountain is picturesque and can be made out from Long Lake, and the skiing at Mt. Bachelor is fine. Long Lake is located in the Central Cascade Range. Long Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; December is when you get the most rain here while July is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Upper Campground is a glorious location to do that,       and why not take a refreshing hike along the Snowshoe Lake Trail. And that's not all you can do here in the Central Cascade Range. So many cool things in the Central Cascade Range, just unbelievable. You'll hit upon a charming lake called Big Finger Lake near Long Lake; the Winopee Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. There's so much to do here at Long Lake that you need to camp here for a while, East Lake Resort and RV Parks is a fine site for that, and                  Long Lake is right by the Mud Lake Trail. If you like the outdoors, you'll go for Long Lake. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Horse Creek, and Willamette Pass is a wonderful local ski area. For the duration of the warmest time of the year highs here at Long Lake reach the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 40's.
