This lake is one of the great places here in the Coast Ranges. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Long Lake, you'll locate Wild Ace Lake which is a beautiful lake; Red Lion Inn Astoria is a brilliant site to get some rest. Take a look at nearby Brallier Swamp, and beaches are great and Sunset Beach is no exception. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Coast Ranges will keep you coming back repeatedly. Why not       camp at K O A Kampgrounds if you're here at Long Lake; while you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Astoria. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Cannon Beach Trail. Looking for some flowing water? Try Tansy Creek, and there are other spots here than Long Lake, for example Leinenweber Lake. Yeah, come up here to the Coast Ranges for a good time. Near Long Lake you hit upon a golf course called Astoria Golf & Country                  Club, and Fort Clatsop National Memorial is a very fine site to stop at. High temperatures at Long Lake during the warmest time of the year are in the 60's, and the nighttime is rather colder of course, mostly in the 40's. All through the winter the highs are typically in the 40's with temperatures at Long Lake dipping down into the 30's throughout winter nights. That right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Long Lake has it all. A wonderful place to camp here at Long Lake is Fort Stevens State Park, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Astoria Inn is a good choice.
