Long Lake is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Long Lake; Cannon Beach Trail is a great local trail, and dry warm beds await you at Shilo Inn. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Coast Ranges. You're sure to stumble upon some good folks from Astoria here, and a swamp like Brallier Swamp near Long Lake has lots of out of the ordinary things to see. Lakes are such peaceful places, why

| | not visit Abbot Lake next to Long Lake, and one of the best things about this place is its proximity to Sunset Beach.
Fort Stevens State Park is a tremendous campground here, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Astoria Golf & Country Club is around here. All the water falling down from the sky makes Long Lake a wet place; through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and July is the month with the least moisture. This | |

This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. Stay the night at Astoria/Warrenton/Seaside KOA, and Fort Clatsop National Memorial is a very great spot to explore. Summertime highs at Long
Lake usually tend to be in the 60's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's while Long Lake overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the
30's. All year is a brilliant time in the Coast Ranges if you like the outdoors. South Jetty Inn is a wonderful place to get some rest, and let's not forget Tansy Creek which is a stream that you may run into during your stay.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Coast Ranges.
