This lake is so wonderful. Red Lion Inn Astoria is a good location to get some rest. Yeah, come here to Long Lake for a brilliant time. There are plenty of folks from Astoria here at Long Lake, and some of the water close by flows, like Tansy Creek.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Long Lake a wet spot; during the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is July.

Our Park is perpendicular to the highway so most sites are well away from the road. There are hiking and bicycling trails, a national wildlife refuge, two beautiful light houses and much history dating back to Lewis and Clark's discovery in 1805. A great place to do exploring, fishing, hiking, and just being able to set on the beach and enjoy nature.
