At Long Creek Reservoir through the summertime highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Long Creek Reservoir. Camping is available at Hitching Post Trailer Court; there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the Sulphur Creek Trail. This lake       is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Mt Vernon Motel and Trailer Park is a nice location to camp, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend John Day River - North Fork. Not far from Long Creek Reservoir, you'll discover Gordon Lakes which is a charming lake, and going for a hike on the High Trail is always a fine adventure. Having a magnificent time in the Blue Mountains is uncomplicated. Some close                  by water includes Bly Creek, and a great nearby hotel is Best Western John Day Inn. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Blue Mountains. It's always tremendous to pop by Willow Spring, and Long Creek Municipal Watershed is a gorgeous location any time of year. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun things the area in the vicinity of Long Creek Reservoir has to offer. Lakes are wonderful; Gilson Pond is a lake that's next to Long Creek Reservoir, and close by you locate the Davis Trail which is a good hiking trail. The Blue Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Long Creek Reservoir is generally a reasonably dried out site; all through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
