The beauty of Long Creek Reservoir attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Davis Trail, and if you need a site to stay Mt Vernon Motel & Trailer Park is a great choice. The Blue Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Stay the night at Hitching Post Trailer Court, and Long Creek Municipal Watershed is a perfect spot to check out.

Long Creek Reservoir is pretty arid mostly; during November this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Long Creek Reservoir has it all. Going for a hike on the Sulphur Creek Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and get yourself into a kayak and hit John Day River - North Fork.

winter nights at Long Creek Reservoir are in the 20's.
Don't leave Long Creek Reservoir without first going for a hike along the High Trail. There's so much to do here at Long Creek Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Mt Vernon Motel and Trailer Park is a great location for that.
