The warmest time of the year at Lizard Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Lizard Lake. Lizard Lake gets lots of water; the month with most of the rain is December, and July is the month with the least moisture. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lizard Lake.       A gorgeous lake like Bug Lake right next door to Lizard Lake is a good place to check out, and Lizard Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Diamond Lake RV Park is a great site to camp nearby. Camas Creek Campground is a brilliant local campground; Hills Creek is a good whitewater spot nearby. This site, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors exciting things. You'll find a pretty lake called Lemolo Number 2 Forebay near Lizard Lake,                  and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Willamette Pass. Hiking along the McGowan Mountain Way is wonderful fun; here at Lizard Lake you can catch a glimpse of McGowan Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Happy Prairie Way will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Salt Creek. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Central Cascade Range.
