On a pleasant day at Little Lava Lake you can take a hike along the Quinn Creek Trail, of course you could also visit Elk Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Little Lava Lake gets lots of water; during December this area sees the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. | |

Camping at Upper Campground is always a tremendous experience, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Deschutes River.
The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. For the period
of the summer here at Little Lava Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Little Lava Lake dipping down into
the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. A great spot to camp here at Little Lava Lake is East Lake Resort and RV Parks; if you're here you can take a hike along the Lucky Lake Trail.
