A nice spot for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Little Lake is Marion Creek, and camping at Trout Lake Campground is always a nice experience. This place, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors fun stuff. Lakes are great; First Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Little Lake, and Little Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Lemiti Campground is a delightful       local campground. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Little Lake. Gotta ski! Hoodoo is a perfect spot to do that; you can see Double Peaks from Little Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Tub Lake; in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Collawash River. So much entertaining                  stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range, not sufficient time. The Fish Lake Trail is a great hiking trail next to Little Lake, and close by you hit upon the Pacific Crest Trail - section 22 which is a wonderful hiking trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Little Lake a wet place; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Cascade Range. If the weather is tremendous here at Little Lake, you can go for a hike along the Cub Creek Trail; swamps like Cornpatch Meadow near Little Lake make for nice locations to go to. All through the warmest time of the year here at Little Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's, and overnight lows at Little Lake during the wintertime commonly fall into the 30's.
