This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Little Hyatt Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Buck Point Trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Mt. Ashland is pretty near. Do set aside some time for Hyatt Meadows while you're here at Little Hyatt Reservoir, and you can stay the night at Campers Cove. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Southern Cascade Range. There's great hiking along the Mosquito Fish

Creek. This lake is located in the wonderful Southern Cascade Range. Green Springs Summit is a splendid place to check out close by, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Keen Creek Diversion Pond is just a very short
distance away. High temperatures at Little Hyatt Reservoir all through the summertime are in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and after
the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Little Hyatt Reservoir fall into the 20's. Little Hyatt Reservoir gets very little precipitation; throughout December this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is July. Don't

 | You have got to be kidding. IV-V+???!!!!!! Has someone really run the falls? You make it sound like a like just any old run. It can only be run at the few times there is enough water and for a large part of the run, barb wire, willow thickets in the channel and recluses with shotguns are the main obstacles. Only the last few miles has whitewater of note and it is challenging. I ran this section in the mid eighties and claim along with my buddies Kent Erskine and Max Linn a first descent.... |

 | 15 miles away 3 PHOTOS If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
