Do stop by Lint Slough Reservoir while you're in this part of Oregon. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Drift Creek, and Alsea Bay is very near and is a wonderful place to stop by. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Coast Ranges is excellent! Swamps like Eckman Slough are fun to go to; Ona Beach is a beach close by that you can visit. This lake is so wonderful. Waldport/Newport KOA is a splendid

| | campground nearby, and Howard Johnson Inn Waldport is a good spot to get some rest. Lint Slough Dam has good water scenery and it's next to Lint Slough Reservoir; the Horse Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. High temperatures at Lint Slough Reservoir during the warm months are in the 60's. Summer night lows drop down to the 40's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and night lows in the 30's for Lint Slough Reservoir. You just | |

This lake is so wonderful. Lotus Lake is a tremendous lake near Lint Slough Reservoir; Alsea Bay Trailer Park is a great local campground. Lint Slough Reservoir sees pretty high levels of rain; during December this area sees the most
rain, and the driest of the months is July. Dry warm beds await you at Shamrock Lodgettes, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Alsea River. So much exciting stuff in the vicinity of Lint Slough Reservoir, definitely
extraordinary. Lakes are such calm locations, why not stop by Eckman Lake next to Lint Slough Reservoir; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Crestview Hills Golf Course is close by. Lint Slough Reservoir is located

Beverly Beach State Park
 | 14 miles away 1 PHOTO ...ur car, we heard some weird brushing sounds along the roadway and when we found the light and put it to where the noise was coming from, we saw a huge beaver carrying a tree limb off into the forrest. We were so shocked at how huge he was! He was the size of a small bear. At first I thought it WAS a bear but my husband said ''no, Baby, don't be scared... It's just a beaver and he wont hurt you. ''
The next morning we were making coffee and waiting for it to perk (a very slow way to make coffee) and the chipmunks were throwing pine cones at us from the tree tops and they actually hit me with one. Then they come down from the trees while we were drinking our coffee and gather up all their pine cones and cart them off. They were just the cutest little things.
That night we set up our four tiki lanterns and sit around the fire pit having some wine coolers and just enjoying each other like we love to do :) kissing and such... And all of a sudden there was some noises in the trees behind our tent.... Again I was scared that it would be a bear (the reason I am scared of bears ... |
