Ling Reservoir is a nice lake to visit. And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more enjoyable things to do in the Southern Cascade Range. Some close by water includes Spring Creek, and Rattlesnake Spring is a gorgeous place to stop at while you're at Ling Reservoir. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Southern Cascade Range. While you're here at Ling Reservoir it's a fine idea to stop at Juniper Glade,

| | and if you've had enough of Ling Reservoir, Juniper Glade Pond is close by. Ling Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Bear Canyon Campground is a good local campground; after a long day outdoors Lithia Springs Resort And Gardens is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. you then we recommend Klamath River. There's so much to do here at Ling Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Creek Campground is a good place for that. This lake is so wonderful. There are magnificent places to discover
along the Mount McLoughlin Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Jenny Creek offers some brilliant whitewater. This lake is located in the wonderful Southern Cascade Range. Going for a hike on the Brown Mountain Trail
is always a delightful adventure, unsurprisingly you could also stop at Fall Creek Reservoir if you're here; it's not far at all.

 | You have got to be kidding. IV-V+???!!!!!! Has someone really run the falls? You make it sound like a like just any old run. It can only be run at the few times there is enough water and for a large part of the run, barb wire, willow thickets in the channel and recluses with shotguns are the main obstacles. Only the last few miles has whitewater of note and it is challenging. I ran this section in the mid eighties and claim along with my buddies Kent Erskine and Max Linn a first descent.... |

 | 26 miles away 3 PHOTOS If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
