Take a little spree to North Fork Fivemile Creek while you're here at Liechti Pond, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Cooper Spur is pretty near. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Central Cascade Range. Places like Dutch Flat are wonderful to check out, and drift down the rapids of Klickitat River in a kayak. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a       day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Central Cascade Range. You're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Wicks Reservoir is one of those close by, and nice hiking is available along the Pen Way Trail. An average amount of rain falls at Liechti Pond; December is the wettest month with most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Liechti Pond while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's.                  The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Liechti Pond dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. What a place this is for outdoors people. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Columbia River Gorge Camping is a splendid place to camp, and there's fine hiking along the Cedar Creek Trail. A glorious close by hotel is The Dalles Super 8 Motel, and Dufur RV Park is a magnificent campground nearby. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things right next door to Liechti Pond. Nearby lakes? Sure, Evans Reservoir is close to Liechti Pond, and get yourself into a kayak and hit White River. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Cousins Country Inn is a delightful choice, and you'll almost certainly meet some folks from City of The Dalles here.
