There is a great hiking trail near Leone Lake called the Scorpion Ridge Trail, and camping is available at B and B Rentals. The Thomas Trail is a delightful hiking trail in the neighborhood of Leone Lake, and here at Leone Lake you can make out Gale Hill. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Whispering Woods (Vri) is a brilliant choice. All the water       falling down from the sky makes Leone Lake a wet place; the month with most of the rain is December, and the driest month is July. Throughout the summertime months at Leone Lake highs are generally in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; nighttime lows at Leone Lake during the winter regularly sink into the 30's. Leone Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Cascade                  Range. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Near Leone Lake you stumble on the Fox Creek Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and why not head up to Hoodoo and strap some skis to your feet. Paddling on Breitenbush River is so much fun; a brilliant place to camp here at Leone Lake is Detroit Lake State Park. So much fun stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range, too tremendous to be true. There are other spots here than Leone Lake, for example Jo Jo Lake; soar down the rapids of Santiam River - North in a kayak. Man, is there a load of cool stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range.
