Just can't get enough of Layton Reservoir Number 2. You get a wonderful vista of Elkins Butte from Layton Reservoir Number 2; you can stay the night at Buck Spring Campground. Nearby lakes? Sure, Brennan Reservoir is in the vicinity of Layton Reservoir Number 2, and South Fork Trout Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is a national park worth a visit.

| | Around Layton Reservoir Number 2 you don’t get a lot of rain; all through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is September. This is a great area for people who like lakes. Stump Waterhole is a lake in close proximity, and going for a hike on the Black Canyon Trail is always a perfect adventure. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Mountains. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Mountains. | |

Allyn Draw is a tremendous site to check out close by, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Davin Spring. At Layton Reservoir Number 2 during the summertime highs are in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures
are in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Layton Reservoir Number 2. This lake is so wonderful. You don’t have to go far from Layton Reservoir Number 2 to distinguish
the water at Brennan Dam, and the Owl Creek Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close by. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Blue Mountains. Layton Reservoir Number 2 is a delightful spot to visit for more than
one day, Little Summit Campground is a delightful spot to camp nearby, and nearby you find the Coffeepot Trail which is a splendid hiking trail.
