The vista of Clarks Butte from Lava Reservoir is beautiful, and Jordan Craters is an interesting place to go to while at Lava Reservoir. The warmest time of the year at Lava Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 90's with overnight lows in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Lava Reservoir fall into the 20's. Camping at       Lava Reservoir is tremendous fun, Rome RV and Cafe is a tremendous local campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Owyhee River. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous nearby hotel is Idaho Hotel, and do pop by Saddle Butte Reservoir 2, it's a striking lake.
