Chief Joseph Island is a good place to check out, and if you come at the right time of year, Marion Creek offers some brilliant whitewater. Lava Camp Lake in fact is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. Not far from Lava Camp Lake, you'll come across Matthieu Lakes which is a lovely lake; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Hoodoo is reasonably near. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Little       Belknap Trail. There's so much to do here at Lava Camp Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Suttle Lake Resort and Marina is a nice site for that. Throughout the warm months, highs frequently are in the 70's at Lava Camp Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. During the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lava Camp Lake are in the 20's. You'll in fact wish for more                  hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Central Cascade Range. Lava Camp Lake is right by the Scott Trail, and close by you hit upon McKenzie Pass which is a glorious place to pop by. This lake is so wonderful.
