Laurance Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Cascade Range. Having a good time at Laurance Lake is trouble-free. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Hood River - West Fork, and don't leave Laurance Lake without first going for a hike along the Elk Grove Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's pleasant hiking along the Tilly Jane Trail, and       why not head up to Cooper Spur and strap some skis to your feet. Having a brilliant time in the Central Cascade Range is simple. Laurance Lake is a site with many visitors from Hood River, and if you came for an overnight stay Dufur Valley Farms is a glorious place to camp. The high level of precipitation makes Laurance Lake a rather wet spot; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest. For the duration                  of the summer at Laurance Lake highs are commonly in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Laurance Lake are in the 30's. Good hiking is available along the Pinnacle Ridge Trail, and after a long day outdoors Mount Hood Inn is a pleasant site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Mt. Hood Meadows is just what you need, and delightful water scenery is available at Clear Branch Dam near Laurance Lake. You'll discover a scenic lake called Recession Lakes near Laurance Lake. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting things the Central Cascade Range has to offer. Why not camp at Reservoir Campground since you're here at Laurance Lake, and if you need a location to stay Comfort Suites Hood River is a perfect choice.
