All year is a tremendous time in the Central Cascade Range if you fancy the outdoors. You can run the rapids of Crabtree Creek in the vicinity of Larson Ponds; lots of people from Albany-Lebanon come here. And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do near Larson Ponds. If you came for an overnight stay Premier RV Resort at Mallard Creek Golf Course is a magnificent place to camp, and a fine location for whitewater paddling       is Thomas Creek. Throughout the summer at Larson Ponds temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and the overnight is a bit cooler of course, commonly in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Larson Ponds temperatures fall to the 30's. Larson Ponds is a wet place that gets a lot of precipitation; through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is                  July. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. Take a side visit to Church Creek, and do take a hike on the Snow Peak Mill City Trail. A delightful nearby hotel is Rodeway Inn Sublimity, and hiking along the Crabtree Lake Trail is tremendous fun. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Central Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful.
