    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lard Lake. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range, too fine to be true. A short journey to Coldwater Spring is always worthwhile, and delightful scenery and perfect skiing is what you acquire at Mt. Bachelor. Lard Lake gets a lot of water; the wettest month of the year is mostly December, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is July. Man, is there loads of exciting things  
   to do in the Central Cascade Range. Don't leave Lard Lake without first going for a hike along the Patjens Lakes Trail, and if you need a place to stay Lodge at Suttle Lake is a wonderful choice.
What a site this is for outdoors folks. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Marion Creek; Tombstone Prairie Campground is a fine campground here. There's delightful hiking along the Pocket Way, and camping at Lard Lake is
 
               tremendous fun, Suttle Lake Resort and Marina is a tremendous local campground. Lard Lake is located in the Central Cascade Range.
This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Hoodoo is a magnificent place to do that, and there's whitewater on Horse Creek for all you adrenaline people. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lard Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's while Lard Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. Good hiking is available along the Thirsty Camp Trail; Big Lake is a great lake nearby.
