Many people like to go to Lake Penland. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Blue Mountains. You can take a little trip to Lake Penland Dam if you're here at Lake Penland, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Butcher Bill Creek. Lake Penland is pretty dried out frequently; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while July is ordinarily the driest month. If you like the outdoors you'll
like it here in the Blue Mountains. Go for a hike on the Copple Butte Trail, and camping is available at C and D Motel and Trailer Court.
This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant journey to Brown Prairie is a good way to spend an afternoon. Going for a hike on the Section Line Trail is always a splendid adventure; if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on John Day River - North Fork. Lake Penland is one of the lakes

               here in the Blue Mountains.
For the duration of the months of summer at Lake Penland highs are regularly in the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Lake Penland drop into the 20's. You could also have a look at Blakes Pond since you're here at Lake Penland; it's nearby, and a splendid place to camp here at Lake Penland is Elkhorn Tavern and RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Cutsforth Pond; unsurprisingly, all our national parks are great sites to stop at and John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is no exception.
You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Don't leave Lake Penland without first going for a hike along the Minetop Trail, and do put some time aside to spend at Mallory Spring since you're here at Lake Penland.
