Lackner Pond is a place with many visitors from Albany-Lebanon, and a fine nearby hotel is Rodeway Inn Sublimity. Do stop at Kreilich Reservoir close to Lackner Pond, it's a lovely lake, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Snow Peak Mill City Trail. This lake is so wonderful. On a great day at Lackner Pond you can take a hike along the Crabtree Lake Trail, and after a long day outdoors Oregon       Garden Resort is a nice place to spend a night or two. A golf course near Lackner Pond is Santiam Golf Club, and you'll hit upon a gorgeous lake called Dozler Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures at Lackner Pond during the warm months are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's.
