The scenery at Mountain Sheep Dam close to Kinney Lake is pretty, and a splendid nearby hotel is Eagle Cap Chalets. After a long day outdoors Matterhorn Swiss Village is a good site to spend a night or two; some nearby water includes McCully Creek. During the days of summer at Kinney Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and       through the dark hours in the winter at Kinney Lake temperatures drop to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. A nice site to camp here at Kinney Lake is Scenic Meadows RV Park, and Sheep Creek Hill Summit is a good location to take a look at. Yeah, come here to Kinney Lake for a pleasant time. Camping at Wallowa Lake State Park is always a brilliant experience. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Gates Pond, and going                  for a hike on the Kettle Creek Trail is always a delightful adventure.
