A short tour to Dutchman Spring is always worthwhile, and Kettle Lake is right by the Mount Ashland Trail. From a rainfall point of view Kettle Lake is a pretty normal site; most of the rain falls all through December, and July meanwhile is the driest month. For the duration of the days of summer at Kettle Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's.       During the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Kettle Lake temperatures descend to the 20's.
