    Why not stop by Kerby Reservoir if you're passing through these parts. Through the warm days of summer at Kerby Reservoir temperatures are usually in the 80's, and the night is slightly chillier of course, usually in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 40's with temperatures at Kerby Reservoir dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors  
   enjoyable stuff the Siskiyou Mountains has to offer. You can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at Mt. Ashland, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Mount Ashland Trail.
You can run the rapids of Rogue River next to Kerby Reservoir; the Copper Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Since you're here at Kerby Reservoir why not go to Packard Gulch, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge
 
               Ashland is a nice place to spend a night or two. An afternoon playing golf at Rogue Valley Manor Quail Point Golf Course is always a bliss, and Oregon Roundup Resort is a good campground nearby.
Having a pleasant time in the Siskiyou Mountains is uncomplicated. Best Western Windsor Inn is a magnificent spot to get some rest; Kerby Reservoir is a tremendous location to visit for more than one day, Holiday RV Park is a tremendous location to camp nearby. You completely have to go for Kerby Reservoir. A quick visit to Holton Creek near Kerby Reservoir is a great idea, and you're probably hooked on lakes, Francis L Reservoir is one of those nearby. The Siskiyou Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
This is a good area for folks who like lakes. Gammill Reservoir is a lake close at hand, and there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Bear Creek Trail. The annual precipitation here at Kerby Reservoir is about average; most of the rain falls during December; July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Kerby Reservoir is a place with many visitors from Medford, and there's whitewater on Klamath River for all you adrenaline junkies.

If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
