It's always fun to stop by Keohler Reservoir. Yep, outdoors cool things to do are really bountiful here at Keohler Reservoir. It's a perfect idea to take a look at Echo Creek, it's right next door to Keohler Reservoir; Park Campground is a wonderful local campground. For the period of the warm days of summer at Keohler Reservoir highs are commonly in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's

| | while the cold winter nights at Keohler Reservoir are in the 30's. From a rainfall point of view Keohler Reservoir is a relatively normal place; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Silver Creek, and going for a hike along the Pine Crest Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Willards Pool since you're here at Keohler Reservoir; it's nearby, and if you need a location to stay Rodeway Inn Sublimity is a brilliant choice. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Silver Falls State Park
is a nice place to camp; do take a hike on the Snow Peak Mill City Trail. Looking for something right next door to Keohler Reservoir? Pichette Reservoir is close by, and at Keohler Reservoir you always meet someone from Salem.
This lake is so wonderful. On a lovely day you obtain a sight of Silverton Hills from Keohler Reservoir, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Crabtree Lake Trail. After a long day outdoors Oregon Garden Resort is a great place to spend a night or two, also Willards Dam is worth stopping at if you're here.

Pine Crest Trail
 | 19 miles away ...st Rd narrows and now effectively ends. Actually, it continues, but the road is impeded by a gate sporting many 'no trespassing' signs and marking it 'private property'. When we got to this point, we were just about to turn around and go home when another car drove past us onto the road. Having driven for several hours to get there, we dared to venture further, and followed the car despite the many warnings on the gate. Now, if you are reading this please heed my advice... never do what we did. Do not try to find this trail. Listen to signs. They are usually there for a reason. We could not locate the next road to turn on because all the old street signs had been removed and all of the old turn-offs warned away the unauthorized with huge boulders blocking the road, locked gates and more no-trespassing signs. After taking some pictures of beautifully dilapidated country houses, we decided to call it a day and return home empty handed. However, when we got to the gate we came in through, we found that while we were away, someone had closed and locked it. We were trapped, and not the le... |

For over 120 years the 17 wooded acres have been host to an annual event called the Oregon Christian Convention. The grounds have RV hook-ups and tent camping is also available. Mill Creek meanders around one side of the property offering great picnicking, swimming, rock skipping and wading opportunities.
Rich in history, the grounds boast an 1891 building called the Tabernacle. The Tabernacle seats over 1,200 people. The construction is authentic post and beam with soaring rafters and an occasional bird flying through. The tabernacle is also available for rent. Rustic cabins are available to rent as well as rooms in another historic building known as Centennial Lodge. Centennial is a two story building with old style hotel rooms and shared restrooms on each floor. Jubilee Lodge was built in the late sixties and has a large dining/meeting room, complete kitchen as well as dormitories that are all available to rent. Two restroom/shower houses are available for use.
